cold for me, good price but anything outside amazon.co.uk is dangerous. I like my life simple and you won't believe how much time you can waste when things go wrong and how frustrating it can be.

Here is my experience - I ordered a Fitbit from amazon.it , received instead a Gillette razor.

Amazon sent a replacement and asked me to return the item , claiming they will refund costs.
I paid for tracked delivery, the postal service in Italy lost the package ,amazon.it charged me twice for the fitbit + never got refunded the postage costs by amazon.
Amazon.it have been completely useless, asking again and again for proof of postage but never coming back and ignoring all subsequent communication. Amazon.co.uk said they can't help and it's down to Amazon.it

I eventually got the grand sum of £50 as compensation from Royal Mail.

It's tempting to buy from a different amazon store but bear in mind that you will get no support if things go wrong.
If you like gambling, go for it.

You will be buying from amazon.co.uk, so support is on them. Just fulfilled by the amazon US store.

    Risk of Loss
All purchases of International Products are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for International Products pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier outside the UK (or your delivery country)

Never had a problem when buying from Amazon US. they use royal mail 48 which covers up to £150 of the total value. So if it is lost you'd just need to chase it up with them. (edited)

US import issues aside, is this still a good buy in 2024?

DDR4 look to get DDR5 if you want to future proof especially if you are getting a recent CPU
