I'd advise people to read the reviews on this one first.

I bought it myself at the end of August and have regrets.

It doesn't charge at 65W speeds and doesn't hold as much power as the capacity quoted - reviews/photos of the internals back this up...

£29.99 is an average price (always on offer around this with various vouchers - typically £40 with 25% discount) but the product is poor.

What would you recommend as an alternative?

I've had 2 of these and returned them as they both died and smelled like they were burning and got extremely hot. And I dont mean like warm to the touch, i mean HOT and the smell was proper burnt toast smell when they died.

For high wattage, I use this - 100W in/out its £61ish after discount voucher on amazon site - yes it's more but i've used it a fair amount in the last 3 or 4 months o far and it's been solid and capacity seems more reasonable too vs the rated spec. amazon.co.uk/Bas…c=1

I also have the baseus and it works great

This or amazon.co.uk/Ank…BX/ - the latter slightly lower mAh but Anker makes solid products.

Not really comparable that as it's 15w max charge. The op is for a 65w, which "should" charge high draw items such as laptops etc. The comparable Anker product is Powercore III Elite amzn.eu/d/g…wnV

Yeah, I've got one of these for my Steamdeck. It's decent value.

I've had this one for about a week, a friend purchased it. I didn't dare to buy it. Capacity is nowhere near where it should be. I'm well aware no power banks have the advertised capacity and that's normal, but 25% loss is acceptable, not 50%. Also, it does charge a laptop, but it takes a long time, so again, does not deliver 65w. Charging the power bank, again takes too long despite the fact i have the right cables and i use powerful chargers..

My 60w 20,000 mah Ravpower mopes the floor with this one. The specs are real, while on this one nothing that claims is real.
Also I don't get what people are on about super fast charge. For super fast charge you need PPS, not many power banks deliver that.

If you look for a power bank for a phone, buy a 18w -22w power bank from an established brand. No point buying high wattage when your phone will not charge at that wattage.

As alternatives if you need it for a laptop, try Baseus 65w 20-30k mah, Mophie 45w, or Ravpower 60w (branded now Haniz or iSmart). Anker does a good one too, but way too expensive. A decent price for such a powerful power bank will be £30-40. Paid £25 for my Ravpower but it is hard to find it. This is a decent price, but does not deliver how it should do. (edited)

As if by magic the usual 25% voucher has appeared now the "deal" has finished

So it's available for £31.49 at the current "sell" price of £41.99 minus 25% - if you're set on purchasing it.

Might be some use, sainsbury hinckley leicestershire have the Juice 3 , and 4 with £5 off. Google them for specs, amazon have them at full price. I.e The Juice 4 was £19.99 amazon 24.99. They're both USB c, and USB a, in and out.
    sheffield788's avatar
But I think they are only 10k-12k mah. We had a local deal posted here for as little as £3 and TK Maxx has the Juice 10k mah for £15.

I bought this last week for £31.50.
Its pretty good but doesn't charge 65w as it says it does, but does fast charge though

Ahh I was just about to buy for my laptop...any ideas what it charges to? I cam sometimes get by on 63w with slow charging warnings! (edited)

Had one of these since May... charges the Steam Deck at ~45w but I'm pretty certain that claimed capacity is false (or its efficiency is really poor)... it tops out at around two recharges - which is less than half the claimed capacity.

Still fairly happy with it overall. Can't really complain for the price.

23000mAh is NOT the same capacity as you'd expect from regular battery packs due to different wattages. I briefly looked into the jargon behind this and completely forgot, but basically any two 20000mAh chargers are not the same battery capacity depending on the other specs (including wattage).

I've got this, overpaid 40 quid for it. Used it a handful of times and it hasn't died yet, but the battery capacity is much lower than expected. It did manage to successfully charge my laptop (which is sub-65W, idk if it'll charge a 65W device), but it gave it like 1/3 battery life extra.

65W? That can charge a laptop, amazing how far we've come with electronics lol

    So I received mine,
I charged my Steamdeck with no issue and I plugged it into my laptop and that also charged with no issue (lenovo thinkpad included charger is 65w USB-C)
Capacity is about what I'd expect somewhere in the region of 16,000MAH.
Mine is not getting hot at all which is nice, it's actually decent for what it is.
