Is this a good step from my 3600. Could I use my 3600 cooler? Regards
    gen271674's avatar
Yes, a good size step up, worth it if you need extra but if running OK then no need to upgrade. The 3600 cooler WILL work, just not very well, i.e it'll be spinning hard trying to keep 5700x cool. Is 100% fine to use immediately if waiting on a better cooler in the post etc. But should check out cos someone else said 5700x comes with cooler.. (edited)

At this rate unless you're super strict with your budget I would not buy a 5600x

Even then, if someone was on a strict budget the 5600 would be better value than the 5600X.
£17 cheaper and you only lose 1-3 FPS in most games.

I wish I could have got my Daughter the 5700X instead of the 5800X, but it was £20 more expensive at the time. (edited)

Not worth the hassle if it's faulty?
