If you have something like a NAS or home server then UPS's are really worth it. If your hypervisor goes down in a heap because of a brown out you could be hours trying to remediate the problems it caused. We seem to have brown outs several times a year around here, so my one has saved a lot of messing around resolving unexpected poweroffs.

I don't know if this is the version that has a USB connection, but you can usually set up your server or NAS to do a graceful shut down if the power has been gone for a few minutes.

I've got this exact model and it does have a USB connection which I use to monitor using NUT tools

These are good for running broadband/4G routers for an hour or so in the event of a power cut (edited)

Great price for this. Already have one for my PC and the main router. Getting another as backup for my partner's PC and WiFi extender
