Nothing wrong with these drives, certainly as good as many of the other smaller but more well known brands out there. (edited)
So the term is a marketing CON, meant to mislead the punter into mistakenly thinking there is a DRAM cache.
This is a VERY basic SSD, fine for use as an external device at the cost per TB. As a boot device, AVOID.
Agree on not using this as a boot drive, it is perfectly suited to be a storage/game drive.
