Just a quick update guys if you haven’t already got any pay as you go sims you can go to Asda of all places and buy there own Asda pay as you go sims which have the all important mobile phone number printed on the inside of the packaging so you don’t need to faff around with typing codes to try and find your number and they also piggy 🐷 back off the Vodafone Network….But here’s the best bit ….you can buy them instore and they are only 50p each…..That’s Asda Price…..(ninja) (edited)

What I find really annoying is only being able to use an account on one phone at a time as we were using one account as a household to build up the cashpot between us but now it logs the other phones out when you do the authentication text or if someone else tries to use it it sends the text to the other phone. So much hassle that it means we shop in Tesco and Lidl more often now

All you need do is screenshot your rewards barcode on each of your family members phones. Then just scan it each time you all shop. The same account cash pot will then build up. I scan my friends barcode as she gets the blue light discount as well.

Is it just me or is the Asda rewards app so complex to navigate on iPhone. It's so difficult and frustrating. No back button or home button. Just stuck on this page.
Can't sign out. Other than verifying my phone number which isn't real... someone help me out

I mean, probably would have helped if you signed up with a real number - you'll either need to edit the mobile number or contact support.

No issue here navigating on iPhone though. (edited)

    I don’t get Asda’s rewards/loyalty scheme and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
    Mooney70's avatar
It's not the best tbh as your usually paying over the odds for stuff. Then get money back into your cashpot. But even after getting the money back you've still paid more for the goods compared to other places.
  6. rushofoxygen's avatar
Cost of living crisis and they take the blue light away, you only get 10% off in store with them. Not money back. Rubbish.
    Mooney70's avatar
No, blue light holders get 10% added to their cashpot on every purchase. I think this is valid until july next year. While i can't see it on the app for those already registered it should still work for them? 10% off in store or cashback in your pot it will still be the same amount. (edited)

Since when did shopping become a Panini Sticker book?! trying to purchase things just for a free quid, 10% off random af items then offering BLC 10% and nabbing it back within months. SOOO time consuming trying to list out months shop and bargaining with 3-4 supermarkets then going into B&M for 1 thing to find your Fairy Non bio if the cheapest there, but you've already bought it in Asda as a star product!!! Dale Winton would be having a field day every week! (edited)

Yes it is a bit of a game, but since I have started using the Trolley.co.uk app on my phone it has made a bid difference to saving, as I have created a shopping list of my expensive items and just check it before I do my normal shop, by clicking on an item and seeing the price comparisons. Definitely worth a shot if you are not using it - they also have the website but much easier on the phone.

Grabbed 3 EE cards from pound land, used my own sim too. £20 worth of shopping for about £4. Bargain!

Not heard of that before I'd just try logging in again although the offer has now expired. Unless you can purchase from an Asda petrol station?

Asda really nerfed the Blue Light Discount. Used to get 10% off my shop there but now don't even get 1%.
    ScorchingHot's avatar
I’ve never even got 1% off of my shop, never mind 10%!

Why for such a short time? I will be away so won't be able to take part. And missed it the last time too
    Gareth_Collins's avatar
I know it’s not fair is it…..(cheeky) …..Last time myself and my friends….(ninja) …..Dave…..Steve….John…..and of course mustn’t forget about Dan…..could only use the deal a few times…..(embarrassed)

It better work lol because asda is overpriced

Out of the big 4 supermarkets it isn’t …
  13. ssc1's avatar
Has to be the worst of supermarket schemes.
  14. Won's avatar
I did it like 16 times and the asda security and managers said it’s fraud apparently
    Gareth_Collins's avatar
What all at the same time?

I remember when the app was launching I posted this deal and the mods took it down saying it didn't class as a deal
    Mooney70's avatar
Well it's one of the best deals I've made use of and will do so again. Getting paid to eat pizzas is pretty good imo. Don't be feeling sorry for supermarkets they are still increasing prices when logistics costs will have dropped.
  16. Grazz0r's avatar
This app is a nightmare and by far the worst of any shopping app I've ever seen. I can't believe some genius thought this "cashpot" and "missions" thing was a good idea let alone that it doesn't work most of the time. (edited)
    Index's avatar
They don't want to copy other supermarkets

Used 2 x £1.50 gift cards from VeryMe to pay for my shop! Still in date. Got oat milk to claim Shopmium

Can you have more than one account on the app?
    TroyTheGardener's avatar
The accounts are based on phone numbers.. Multiple PAYG sims can be had for free/cheap - rinse and repeat.
  20. shirlsky's avatar
Will this work if I downloaded the app ages ago but yet to make a purchase?
    Mooney70's avatar
Yes, if you haven't bought anything then the offer should appear on your account.

got 100 siims cards lets go haha- can u use thse £5 gift cards multiple times?
  24. Ferris's avatar
I still have most of my fivers unused from last time, because a couple of days after the offer ended, they updated the app (for the BLC change) and logged out every account simultaneously...
  25. podface1's avatar
    Not showing in the app?
    RedXI's avatar
Already shows in my apps for my existing account and the new account I just made.50472623-BmYrw.jpg

Can I delete my number and  reactivate? I downloaded the app when there wasn’t an offer but I hardly use it as I don’t regularly  shop at Asda but I am tempted with this deal
    Kal007's avatar
You need to call the customer services team to close the account, 0800 331 7409 - press 1 for Asda Rewards. Not sure how long it takes but at least you will be ready if similar sign up offers appear in the future.
  27. ryanhowden2's avatar
Does multiple giftcards work in one purchase?
    Mooney70's avatar
No, each £5 bonus is linked to that account so just one at a time can be used.
  28. sashleyy's avatar
Can you use more than one £5 In each transaction or do you just keep spending £5 a time?
Also, does anyone know how long until the vouchers expire?
    Thanks.
    Mooney70's avatar
You can only use one voucher per account as they are linked. You have 90 days to use the voucher after you create it.
  29. brad25577's avatar
had the app when it first came out, used it frequently, had about £5 in rewards, then they updated it and changed it and all my rewards went....haven't used Asda for a while now
  30. Kal007's avatar
Just registered on the app and no £5 showing. Just have other offers such as £2 meat and fish bonus, £1 cleaning bonus, etc. Did others get the £5 straightaway or was there a wait ?
    Borninthe80s's avatar
It wasn't showing for me. Then it appeared an hour ago. Now disappeared again!

What's the virtual numbers thing that you do. I read that you left a comment on the last thread with something about AppCloner.app ? (edited)

All I do is scan barcode, then I get a £5 cashpot? Can I withdraw the £5 to my bank? is that how it works, someone explain?
    Mooney70's avatar
You buy something first then scan your reward app barcode. Shortly after £5 is added to your cashpot. You can create a voucher then for £5 to spend in store on anything costing £5 or more. Just pay the difference if it's more than £5.
  34. JP84's avatar
Do they still do the 3 for £5 beer offers? 😁
    Mooney70's avatar
It's 4 for 3 these days by the look of it.
  35. Wammer's avatar
Not showing in my app. I've used the Scan once and that was just to check the price of something, but looks like that's excluded me.
    Mooney70's avatar
Have you checked the earn section? That's where the bonus will be displayed if you have it.
  36. Ziggazee's avatar
It's in till July 2nd.. So does that mean it expires just after midnight July 1st or will we be able to still use this on Sunday 2nd July?
    Wammer's avatar
The info is at the very top of this page.

  38. Superflyguy_uk's avatar
Perfect, worked on a second account with a different phone number, £5 is in the cashpot (edited)
  39. Mooney70's avatar
Just to clarify the cheapest tinned item they sell are spaghetti hoops. But the cheapest fresh produce item are loose carrots. So you could get one of those for well under 10p.

Running low on SIM cards now...
    Mooney70's avatar
Iceland has taken a bashing with sim cards i think there was just a couple left yesterday. I slipped up though as i didn't buy a gift card from TCB to pay for them. Otherwise that would have been a bit more back. I'm not complaining though as it's still a great deal! (edited)
