Born for handheld gaming, sink deep into your favourite AAA or indie games with the ROG Ally. Watch the hours melt away with an expansive 7” Full HD 120Hz display and comfortable ergonomics. And you can share the fun by connecting to a TV and pairing multiple controllers (sold separately), instantly transforming the Ally into a formidable multiplayer console.

Armoury Crate SE game library
Owning games in multiple launchers can make for a frustrating, fragmented library. The ROG Ally features a bespoke Special Edition of Armoury Crate, designed to sort and seamlessly launch all of your games from one place, no matter where they’re installed.

Born for handheld gaming
AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor powers this amazing gaming machine. Built on the cutting edge 4nm process, this silicon features both the Zen 4 architecture and RDNA 3 graphics. Featuring upscaling technologies like FidelityFX Super Resolution and Radeon Super Resolution, the Ally can boost framerates while retaining excellent image quality.

Three operating modes
Choose from three different operating modes to balance performance and power usage, from Silent Mode's 10W to Performance Mode's 15W all the way up to Turbo Mode's 25W (or 30W when connected to AC power). ROG worked in close collaboration with AMD to unleash the full potential of this cutting-edge hardware, and the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor is here to take the gaming world by storm.

Game on the go
Play your favourite games and content for hours without worrying about a charger. Enjoy up to 2 hours of gaming locally on the device, with up to 6.8 hours of video playback. And the Ally also supports fast charging.

MicroSD Expansion
If you have a larger game library, the Ally has you covered. A dedicated UHS-II microSD card slot allows you to effortlessly add high-speed storage to your machine, letting you keep more of your games installed and ready to play. Boasting nearly the same load times as the console’s dedicated PCIe Gen 4 SSD, you won’t need to worry where you store your games.

Better than a steam deck? (edited)

I have both and think they R both good, like owwy said don't chase the numbers, the deck definitely feels nicer, and better battery life, and not to mention batocera, but the ally has a higher res screen, better refresh rate and more power, but I'm not a fan of windows on a handheld! But to be honest they are both great! Overall I would probably choose the ally but that's personal preference!

I must chime in here, I've enjoyed the oled edition and was contemplating getting an ally however the deck is a superior handheld and makes up where the ally falls down, despite the 120hz and vrr etc particularly now with the upcoming pending new handhelds coming I think it's worth holding off.

The Steam Deck is nowhere near as good as the Ally. The Ally is more powerful, emulates way better than the deck and all games run far better on the Ally.

I’ve started seeing these about - does it run as a normal PC too if I got a screen I.e could I install excel and use it for that also? Only way ill persuade the wife

I got this for £329.10 refurb and makes a great portable PC. Just got this Oled monitor from the recent Aliexpress sale

Highly recommended all in one system

What monitor did you go for?

I am so torn between all of these handhelds. If money wasn't a factor, which one would you all recommend? I've been eyeing up the Lenovo one because of the bigger screen but thought Lenovo have a history of unreliable cheap products.

The build quality on the Go was horrible. The controllers felt chunky and Halloween plastic.

I have the deck oled and tried the Go and I went back to the deck. I have dual boot on my deck with a 2tb drive, so best of both worlds.

I'm curious how much better the Ally is from hearing the comments. Maybe I'll try it down the line to see if it's actually a night and day difference.

At this price, it's a no brainer to go for the superior lenovo

The ally is 3rd place after the SD Oled

SD Oled not even in the conversation lol. Retro tech rushed to market with an OLED screen, is well just that.

I've been super impressed with this. I'm playing Horizon 5, EA PGA Masters, Uncharted, and they run fine.. yes, battery isn't must better than 1.5 hours, but it's still a handy device if you don't have room for a PC Gaming setup... also, having Steam / PC game access (I'm coming from a Nintendo / Msft console world) is pretty good.
