I have two of these monitors and they’ve both been excellent. Can’t recommend enough.

Hopefully I won't get laughed at, but I don't really know what I'm looking at with monitors. What is the difference between this and something like this one for £100 less?

I see the refresh rate is only 60hz versus 155hzand the response rate is slower (5ms vs 1ms) so I can see that the ASUS might be better for gaming. But for everyday/office use (and rare gaming) is there any point me spending £250+ on a monitor? I'm happy to spend more money if I feel like I'll get a product which will make a tangible difference to my life.

Even If it's just for office use, I prefer IPS panels as I think they look way better than a TN or VA panel. 60hz is fine for office work (edited)
