    If you have access to the current student deal for the S23

    Its £649 for the S23 128Gb (with trade-in of any phone, more if you have something in the named list)

    Then knock off the £100 cashback = £549

    Then sell the Bud2Pro for £80-ish, so you can get close to this S22 price (£450) and enjoy a much better battery life.

    Apart from the headphone socket, the Samsung is the better phone with much longer support

    An objective downgrade from the ZenFone 9. Removed autofocus from the ultrawide camera and the selfie. They also removed 4k video recording from selfie camera. The only upgrades are the addition of wireless charging but at a very slow 15w and the improved processor but that's minimal

    Really wacky to hear its a downgrade from zenfone 9, I guess wireless charging and cpu is still important but really does feel a few steps backwards imo.

    Hopefully massive discounts on the zen9!

    I really enjoyed using my zenfone 8, but the unpredictable hard brick then, spoiled it for me. It happened when I was going for a lecture, and all my material was lost!

    What are Asus like with regards to software updates?
    I don't see how this is better than Samsung S23 deals especially when Samsung guarantees 4 years of OS updates and 5 years security updates

    Had a very bad experience with the zenfone 8, touchscreen issues constantly calling 999 and unlocking itself and calling people, even after multiple updates and changes screen setting etc most infuriating phone I've ever had. Will never buy an Asus phone again
    Issue probably caused by in screen fingerprint reader which I know the 9 changed back to side scanner (edited)

    Beautiful, good looking phone. Compact size, great camera and battery life. All good except two things:
    Only 2 years of Android version and still expensive.
    Pixel 7 or 7a when they are on sale are much better deals than this.

    7a refurb ordered for £300 on deal yesterday that lasted few hours.

    The Zenfone is lovely but as the comment above here mentioned its gone down in camera features, so I still don't understand why newer tech is going 1-2 steps backwards it should be improvements not downgrades surely.

    I'm on the ZenFone 9. Like any iterations of new phones. No game changer to make me want it. Yesrwhostheboss did mention its flaws or lack of innovation however if you like a small phone and don't want anything bulky then give this a go.

    Mines still going strong and I love it when go out for my runs 3x a week. I have it in a compartment in running shorts and doesn't feel any worse with it running.

    Big fan of compacts and considering jumping back to android from my 13 mini. S23 seams like better value with the free buds, cash back, Disney etc. Looks like a cracking phone though

    I've had Zen9 8gb/128 for 6 months with no issues whatsoever and gave it to daughter, waiting for Zen 10 release and decided to buy 2nd hand in excellent cond. Zen 9 16gb/256, paid £450. Main difference is only wireless charging to be honest, slightly better cpu. Definitely not upgrade from Zen9
