I have the Kiwi battery head strap for the Quest 3 - £46 from their website - very comfortable and lasts for ages - highly recommend it.

Seems like an honest review of this...

Is this better then bebo ?

Bobo VR M3 Pro is by far the best head strap and it costs £49 when it's available at Amazon. If you add a 2nd battery you can run the Quest 3 continuously.

I find the standard strap with the Quest 3 fine, just need a power bank to increase usage.
    Any recommendations?

For that price I would recommend Bobovr as it’s £50 (when it’s in stock) and also includes battery.

I’ve looked at many YouTube reviews (probably at least 10 reviews) of different Quest 3 battery head straps.

From the tests conducted by the YouTuber’s I saw (e.g JayBratt), it seems this Aubika and potentially the Kiwi are one of the few that is actually able to deliver enough power to charge the Quest 3 whilst being used. It seems in general the non-fast charging battery headsets like the Bobo VR M3 Pro (which some have mentioned in the comments) is unreliable for this usage.

Moreover, I have seen reports of people who can get the Bobo to keep the Quest 3 powered but only if the Quest 3 starts at something like 80%+ charge.

Edit: In short, a lot of head straps can’t (in general) charge the Quest 3 whilst being used and so don’t extend the battery life. This Aubika has several videos on YouTube saying it does work. That said, definitely do your own research to avoid being disappointed. (edited)

I still have a 3rd party strap sitting in the box, unopened and unused. Worth sending that back and getting this instead? Around £30 extra for this.

I actually don't mind the default strap. I have a bun/ponytail in my hair which works with the default strap but looks like it wouldn't work with this strap?

Agreed, I don’t mind the original strap either. Although after over three hours it was getting a little uncomfortable. I’m testing a £13 powerbank, which so far seems to work well. As for comfort, it’s personal. I find the facial interface really uncomfortable but with straps like this the back digs into my head. I am folicly challenged though, so that could be part of the problem.

Never tried the Bobo but it looks over engineered to me, this looks ok but it's literally ½ the price on Alli express if you can wait a while and shipping is faster these days, I got this one from Alli for £32 inc Tax, only took about 9 days and works great, with both batteries fully charged I've played 8 hours and it's still not died on me

51861323-njlw8.jpgI got the same one from Ebay but no where near 8 hours, I'd say half that when it's time to put it onto charge. You must have a thermo nuclear version.....

I went with this elite strap with 6000mah battery an eBay seller for £30:

    ebay.co.uk/itm/186164419672?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=dkywsml0sjc&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=sd_ZvY4OTCu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

It’s literally the exact same as branded ones from Amazon such as:

    amazon.co.uk/TRANSNOVO-Compatible-Accessories-Retractable-Pressure-Free-Quest-3-6000mAh-Head-strap/dp/B0CKXJR8X7/ref=mp_s_a_1_30?crid=3OAIHJV1VTJO1&keywords=elite+strap+battery&qid=1703868627&sprefix=elite+strap+battery%2Caps%2C71&sr=8-30

I’ve had it about a week it’s been really comfortable, easy to adjust and not too heavy, actually balances the front weight. (edited)

i have this but i find after i wear it, my forehead swells up and if i dont tighten the thing it moves around.

as for the battery in it im unclear if your supposed to disconnect it form the headset when you power it off , or if it will keep charging and drain while its in storage.

i lways find the headset charges alot quicker than the battery actually does. not sure if im going to keep it. to be fair i havent used my quest 3 as im still trying to get used to it casue i treid a few games like res 4 and juirassic park and for osme reason when i set my boundry when it game opjects seem to still be out of reach its weird that i need to keep adjusting my boundry and floor height espically in seated mode. im still undecided in the hedset casue at times it still feels blurry and not as sharp as i was expecting and the dpd slider is not ver consistent when adjusting and i never see much of a diffrence when i do. Quest 2 I absolutely hated the stock strap, to point I stopped using it very early on until I got the BoboVR for it.

However, some reason I actually kinda like the strap for the Q3 but dont know why (battery aside)

One thing against any of these sort of straps mind.......if you want to watch anything, movies or ahem other stuff....no good for resting your back against a cushion, or laid back or whatever as it pushes into your head and very uncomfy, stock strap is an easy win in that regards for chilled viewing

Got the bobom3 don't like it , is it worth trying this aubika. I don't mind if I don't have extra battery erc just want something light and comfortable better then stick

Can't decide wether to get this...the kiwi (cheaper but smaller 6400mah battery) or the boboVR M3 (cool hot swappable batteries but again smaller batteries) :/

I only just grabbed the quest tonight and have just messed around with it for 30m.

    But surely power bank+cable=ideal?
I bought 2*65W USBC ones during COVID.

I'd not care about a 10000 or 2*000 PD power bank being in my back pocket, sounds better than the weight on my head.
