Wish they'd make these with a different way of securing the cover. Those plastic clips are murder to undo if you have anything plugged in

Both of these are basic sockets. You can't plug something in and close the cover to make the connection weather proof. No RCD either.

Would this be ok for an EV using a GRANNY PLUG?

Unlikely most EV charger draw around 10amps or more for long periods and will melt domestic sockets like these (even if the charger has a plug fitted) (edited)
