Can someone with electrical experience tell me how likely these are to catch fire? I’m thinking for my outdoor kennels with no electric atm and to have a 80w greenhouse heater and a light over night

This unit houses LiFePo4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells, which are known for their high thermal stability and resistance. It is less likely to catch fire than Li-ion (lithium ion) cells found in EVs, laptops, smartphones and most portable technology. It is the safer of the two types. LiFePo4 cells have other added benefits over Li-ion too. In normal use, they should not catch fire.

That being said, always follow the manual if you don't know what you're doing. And do not expose the cells to extreme heat or sunlight.

Am i right in thinking 100 watt item would use 100 wh an hour, so 5 hours ish for this capacity and the full 700 watts max would run something for like 45-50 mins?

You have to factor in DC-AC conversion loss, inverter idle consumption and the fact that many power stations reserve the final 5-10% of the capacity to protect the longevity of the cells. Here's a good review of the Bluetti EB55 which explains the actual useable capacity of the unit. The same principle can be applied here.

You'd be better off running a mains cable and do it properly, it'll take ages to charge and you'll soon get fed up carrying it back and forth. If it's too far for a cable looking into portable gas heaters and solar powered lights it'll work better

I use one of these to charge an ebike when out and about, not sure what heaters and lights have to do with it.

I have tha Anker version of this its virtually the same outlay with the same power output and I love it . It was great when we had two power cuts recently although I actually bought it for my campervan.

    Great feedback thanks

Bargain, double capacity of BLUETTI EB3A and 100w more output for the same price!

Wow, great price! If I didn't already have an Ecoflow I would snap a couple of these up...
    UncleMonty's avatar
Which Ecoflow do you have? I know nothing about power stations but am looking for something that could go in a camper van (for 3-4 day camping trips, not vanlife) to charge a laptop, phone, camera, drone

Can i use this as an UPS for my network devices?
    rendeverance's avatar
Potentially, it won't charge at the same rate as discharging, I suppose if it was very lightly loaded it might work... But a real ups is probably more economical if it has sufficient redundancy for you. (edited)
