Anything under 2.5kW is fundamentally useless.....when will the manufacturers of these realise that?

If people want to be boiling kettles on a campsite then just get a pitch with an electrical hook-up. These just aren't meant for that kind of draw.

How good would this be for keeping a laptop charged for a couple of days working from a van?

Yes but you could get cheaper. Laptops use maybe 100w at worst? Quick scan on amazon shows similar wh models with lower peak power for much cheaper.

I'm trying to get a better idea about the capacity. Does 716Wh refer to 0,7kwh AC or DC?

Will this be 12v battery inside? If it's 716Wh@12V this makes it around 60ah - which is on a small side for the price...

According to the manual running times: Refrigerator Around 6-7 Hrs 90W is that give or take 0,6kwh capacity?

90*7 is a little over 600 so that sounds right?

    What's involved in these?
    2.5kwh battery - 450 quid, 1.2kwh 250 quid.
    aliexpress.com/ite…tml

Inverter is around 100 quid for a 1kwh inverter.
    Wiring probably 10 quid.

Could I make my own with 2x the capacity for the same price as this? (Might get hit with 20% customs too).
The 2.5kwh would be a beast though the battery alone is 27kg

Can get on ebay for similar prices to avoid import costs?
