Product and technical support

A Certified Refurbished Product is one that’s been returned to Bose, for any reason. It’s then thoroughly inspected, tested, and serviced to meet strict Bose sound quality standards — the same as a new product. Appearance is closely examined; products occasionally have minor, nearly imperceptible blemishes. All refurbished products have the same warranty as new products. And are available only from Bose. Quantities are limited.

No HDMI ARC makes this feel like an expensive purchase to me.

Actually it's a lousy price- but I guess you mean for suckers who fall for the non-HiFi sound of Bose products. Well in the case of TV speakers, even the cheapest products are optimised for 'CLARITY', since TV is all about hearing people speak, rather than any form of HiFi music output. What can Bose do differently in this use case- essentially nothing.

Bose is all about DSPing 'music' output to meet the blind listening preference of non-discriminating rubes- a rather more upmarket version of so-called bass-boost. As I said, this is irrelevant for TV output, where aural distortion for clarity has always been the focus of TV speakers, leaving Bose with no useful tricks up their sleeve here. So they have to charge a lot less than usual.

Got the brand new at same price 4-5 months back.
But still good offer and if you have Amex card then you can avail £15 additional credit to this.
