Decent shaver and uses the same head as all 3 series razors that are more expensive.

Clearly never going to be as good as a proper wet shave with a razor but comes close enough.

I have to shave daily for work and use this wet with gel every morning and have no issues and saves money in the long run with razors.

This can also be found in Asda using this link

There is also another model using the same head but not as wet friendly for £25 on Amazon.

Does anyone know how long does the blades last? And how much to replace them?

I use mine 5 times a week and will easy get 12 / 15 months from it, so depends on your usage. Replacements are about £17-£20

I see that model 300 is £25 at Asda. I haven't had a chance to look at the differences.

No side burn trimmer.. no thanks.

Worth it at this price but it’s depressing that the replacement cutter is only a bit cheaper than the entire shaver.

Great shaver. Don't think you can get better for the money.

Some years ago, I bought this exact model on a previous offer - it gives a decent close shave after you get used to the angle, and it's easy to use. BUT ...

⚠️ All of a sudden, after less than a year of use, this shaver stopped charging ... one of the small power pins in the shaver body had snapped off, and was stuck inside the cable (image, below). Very poor design that rendered the whole thing useless.

⚠️ Also note: you cannot use this shaver while charging from the mains - can be very annoying when it runs out! It also forces you to buy a new battery when that eventually stops holding charge. I can only assume this is by deliberate design?

(I'm always careful with my gadgets, and have stuff going back decades.)

the 300 isn't wet and dry (although confusingly, it is waterproof)

Probably means you can rinse it under a tap for cleaning but not for fully fledged wet shave. Mind you, I am only guessing.

After having considered various aspects, I think I will go for a suitable usb charging one. Any recommendations below £30?

Difference between this and the 3040s please?

It looks like the 3040s has a trimmer (this 310 does not) and a slightly better battery.

The actual foil looks identical (despite different blurb for the 3040s).
