Seems a bit pointless

So this just makes coffee, like a coffee machine (but probably not as good) and you make it over ice that you make in the freezer. Yourself. Not from the machine.

I feel like you might as well make a small strong coffee and pour it into a cup of ice? Or am I missing something?

I often at home just make coffee and pour it over a cup of ice. This machine just looks like it does the same thing, assuming that coffee is coming out hot?

It's a great price cut so heat, but yeah try making your own first, it's crazy easy, I put mine in a temperature flask too, stays chilled for ages

If you've got a kettle and a cup you've already got this... This brings nothing to the table. Get a smoothie blender or something instead and you can actually blitz up ice etc.. Pointless device.

I can't help thinking that Breville's marketing department must have been on the floor laughing when they sold their first, then second (and so on) items of this.
