    I've had one of these for years. I've never used it as a parasol base but it is the perfect size to fit in the top of the garden wheelie bin to compress all the cuttings and fit more in the bin. I use mine every year

    13kg isn't a lot for a parasol base. My dog weighs that and he'd definitely get blown away if I tied the parasol to him! (edited)

    Bought one of these today. Seem decent quality for the price. Fairly heavy so should keep most umbrellas secure.
