  • December 2023 - 3 nights from £109 (£36 per night)
  • January / February / March 2024 - 3 nights from £82 (£27 per night)

Most rooms are twin cabin. There is an option to add breakfast for not much more, and free cancellation for rooms booked in November and December. Could be good for Xmas markets. Next best price is based on booking directly (is also higher on the main booking sites such as Expedia etc). Tram 6 is good for a view of the Danube and what's around. There is also a river bus that runs a few days of the week, and depending on your travel ticket, is included.
When you do go, be certain to buy the weekly or monthly passes. Get it when you come out of the arrival hall, then the bus into town is included. It saves the grief of figuring out if you need a timed pass, one that has a limit of stops, or whatever. The transport system of Bud knocks ours into the shade. You can afford the tickets. Don't try to be clever and avoid paying on certain vehicles as the penalty will outstrip any saving, and the guards are unmarked until the doors close

I like the last bit, “the guards are unmarked until the doors close” you’ve made me want to rewatch the movie made about the underground ticket-inspector Kontroll

I recommend Profident at Astoria, and Focus Medical, on the island, for laser eye surgery

Mind you it is winter time, so make sure that heating on this boat is OK

Not sure this is a deal. The boat looks like it’s in need of some TLC

I stayed here last November and it was in desperate need of renovation, however it's a good location for exploring and you probably won't spend much time on board anyway.

For those interested in dental tourism.
I am at the end of my 2nd week here, and for approx £2350 I have had 2 wisdom teeth removed (1 needing surgery), a molar removed, root canal at the front with subsequent crowns, and 2 X 3 piece bridges to replace the removed teeth. All done within 10 days.
I priced it using my local dentist, who would have wanted over £8000
