ordered twice from their website in the last 2 weeks for this price and both times they cancelled saying not in stock - hopefully this is

Great stuff. if you're exercising regularly, or dieting aggressively, it really does help stave off headaches etc.

I see lot of fitness influencers, including Andrew Huberman, advocating salty water first thing in the morning.

The only problem with this stuff is that it (obviously) tastes of salt. Other alternatives, such as zero tablets, dont but are massively more expensive. i drink mine with a small amount of cordial to take the edge off the taste.

Yes, it's always good science to get your advice from fitness influencers.

    This stuff is pointless.

Had this before at £8 and I really cannot recommend - it's really salty which I wouldn't mind except you're barely getting any of the electrolytes per serving

Can you recommend a better electrolyte please?

I wish I had created products that were this useless but got such high margins

I don't use this one but electrolytes are a life saver after a heavy night of drinking!

Low-quality ingredients; I would buy quality ingredients separately.

Oh yes, potassium sulphate, really hard to get right... (edited)

so its salt and it costs 20 pounds per kg

It's cheap and convenient, as well as being pennies per serving.
Squash with this is no different than Gatorade/Powerade and considerably cheaper.
Of course, if you'd prefer to bulk buy the raw ingredients then be my guest, but this is a cheap and convenient way to get potassium and magnesium. Compare how much it'd cost for a Gatorade or a banana per serving. (edited)

This is great for the Summer time when you're sweating it out. Great if you have a condition like POTS or getting dizzy/dehydrated quickly. Consult doctor of course.

Magnesium oxide... Your body won't absorb much of it

I personally think this is garbage but I understand it might be okay for some

Same price on their own website though I suspect you’ll have to pay for delivery.

    Electrolytes AKA Salt
  15. ancestral_aston's avatar
It's extremely salty. Maybe ok for heavy sweaters. I'm not a fan of the mag oxide.

The question is, is it better than adding salt or potassium salt to your water?
  16. Serban_Zahari's avatar
Heavily underdosed and you can't just take more because then it's just salty lol

    Thanks OP! Great price

I'm no expert but comparing to higher end/ more expensive electrolyte supplements. Those have much higher potassium to sodium ratio. (edited)

I use a bit of this in the morning as trying keto and intermittent fasting for weight loss - seems to help so will get a bit more in, thanks. I think if you cut out processed foods and drink lots of water, you need to get your salts on board along the way.
    woodbino's avatar
Yes, but just eating normally would do it. You don't need sodium supplements. Even if you're doing some fad diet.
  21. Tryp's avatar
    That's just all sodium though
  22. Kerienn's avatar
Celtic salt as alternative maybe better?

As others have said, the compounds in this are the same as the quality you'd find in something like Lucozade, and you can't really knock this at 100 servings for £1.79. Could make your own electrolyte drink without sweeteners or make diluting juice as effective as Lucozade in whatever flavour you fancy.
