Has anyone got one of these with an android phone, how does it perform when printing from there? Any cheap replacement ink cartridges?

I have one of their MG models and performs ok with the android phone. However, in terms of ink, it drinks like crazy and for my standards the ink is expensive. RRP close to £50, but often on sale at £35-40, while the non genuine ink is not much cheaper, at £30-35. I had several printers different brands, and while Canon printers are cheap, the ink is a rip off in comparison with other brands.

Inkjets should be outlawed, daylight robbery when it comes to Canon printers not accepting 3rd party ink.
Still got my old Canon but opted for Brother laser printer and no regrets

Less of a problem now with tank printers. Also colour print quality on laser printers is substantially lower, so depends on use case; if you're just printing off graphs and diagrams you're fine with laser, if you want to do photos you're kind of forced into inkjet.
