    I had a different g shock that allegedly tracked exercise - it was absolutely rubbish - worse than if I just estimated the numbers myself. Love g shock design and £55 is cheap anyway - but just warning on the tracking features! (edited)

    Is the step counter stored on the watch itself and sync once Bluetooth has been connected or does it always need to be connected to the phone indoor for it to work?

    Stored on the Watch, pressing the black middle button changes the bottom line date display to steps taken.

    Had this watch for several years. It’s a lovely looking watch but the step tracker feature is almost pointless in this day and age and all other Bluetooth features are equally pointless. The inverted colour display is also very frustrating and not very clear to read in certain conditions. It otherwise a good solid watch, what you would expect with a g shock but those annoying features are very frustrating!
