Hi HUKDers. Some Casio G-shocks on sale at John Lewis. Some are slightly better priced on Amazon from third party sellers but I prefer to purchase from JL for the sake of a few quid.

The one I linked above is not feature rich but I really wanted the MIP negative display. I intend to put it in aeroplane mode to save battery as I don't need all the notification stuff. Not a bad price if you're after MIP negative screen with a stealth look and step counter.

Yeah, I've been searching high and low for it. MIP negative screen (very easy to read) with a complete blackout stealth look (I never liked all that marketing stuff written all over most G-shocks) + step counter in a square shape were my minimum requirements. Would you believe this is the only one that fits the bill!. I will have to put up with the MMDD calendar and lack of solar and what not, but research tells me if I use this as a regular watch (turn off smart/semi-smart) features then the battery should go just over 2 years. Arrives tomorrow; hopefully I like it. (edited)

Arrived! She's a beauty. I can just about get away with it on my small 6.5" wrists. No more charging the Fitbit every week!

Oh, I like the look of that. I saw this deal when it was posted and I rate G-Shocks, but it looks like you’ve changed the face/layout on yours and it looks even better!

I have this watch. All smart features turned off except step counter. It's a great watch.

I would like to do just that. Is it straightforward to do and is it called aeroplane mode?

Occasionally, I might need Bluetooth sync due to reading text messages if It's not too much of a fath to read them. Currently, it's very easy on my Fitbit

Great watch this, one of a few G Shocks I currently own and the one that gets the most wear time. Bought mine in Nov 2023 and managed to snag it for £80 so pleased to see £100 is a good deal for it. Have a similar wrist size to you and it wears perfectly. Enjoy OP!

There's also the GBD-200-1ER. Don't know what the difference is other than it's more expensive and the green plastic bits on the 200UU are black on that one.

Yes. 99% Identical except the writing on the front is white ish. I wanted the complete 'blackout' hence I chose it's brother.

I didn't buy it for smart features. Well, steps is nice for me. But, there's a full blown feature-filled one for a few hundred £ that will do quite a bit of fitness stuff.
