    I think that the original design had a parallel set, top and bottom, of independent "teeth", that could follow the contour of a cable. Then the cloners got to work and made a much cheaper version that just looks the same but only has a single "tooth", top and bottom.
    So they could give these away and they would still be over-priced. If you can find one of the original design for this much - then you would have a really hot deal.
