Never understand why canola oil is sold as a good oil for frying. The smoke point is just around 200C.

Glad you mentioned the smoke point which until today I knew very little about.

I bought this today because of Omega 3 being healthy and all that and now my sister tells me it's probably not good for making curries because of this smoke point thingy.

We would never meet our WEF seven sustainability goals if everyone switched to healthy oil.

Why would you buy a branded rapeseed oil when all the own brand supermarket vegetable oils are exactly the same thing?

It's a remarkable thing and it wouldn't be able to occur now with a new company. I guess people born in the 80s remember the name and don't realise that it's just rapeseed oil. I know people who will exclusively buy Nurofen though so it's clearly effective to market a brand name even if it's really just a mundane product.
