All Olive Oil Discounts, Offers and Sale - December 2018
Always pick a few up when it’s this price. Thanks for the heads up op. Have some heat! :)
Next summers slip and slide sorted
This alright for lubricant
I appreciate that you have a discerning palate, but the fine that you cited is reported to originate from the description used for some products which were described as 'extra virgin' and should have been labelled virgin olive oil. Although this example that made it to court is clearly fraudulent in the mislabelling, and oilive oil is famously related to a lot of fraud, it doesn't seem to be an example of actual toxicity, like olive oil with the ingredients swapped by mafia elements, for example, or chinese gutter oil...
If you like it I cannot argue about, but: https://www.thelocal.it/20160629/lidl-and-bertolli-face-huge-fines-for-false-extra-virgin-olive-oil Not just that, most of that primadonna rubbish does taste toxic to me. By chance I am someone that knows all about olive oil. End of the matter
You’re not funny mate.
1.84 in tesco express
Cold....pressed. If only.
Voted hot . Glucose is sugar . Can give you diabetes if in excess .
Thank you for posting that. I'm coeliac as is my daughter and my brother and my mum and aunt also were. For the Muppets that clearly don't understand some people have no choice but to be gluten free as it makes them extremely ill. It's not a weakness but a faulty gene. Also that product has not many ingredients compared to a lot of gf options. Half the time I put stuff back on the shelf even if I can eat it because there's so much garbage in it! And for anyone that thinks a tiny bit won't hurt you, I'd like that about as much as you'd like a tiny bit of salmonella on your plate - it has the same effect :D
Yes, he came here saying he wish that gluten being replaced by syrup. If what I say it's a nonsense, where's the sense of that?
So you're having a go at people judging what others say, while judging what others say.
Yes, I said, being weak in the real world make you stronger on here, judging what other people express. I understand people with any disabilities but I hate making so much noise about this, couldn't they just eat and vote hot keeping quit? To make myself clear, even if you will delete this, why to come here, and instead saying, gluten, sugar, smoking, meat is bad for me, why people say, those are bad for everybody?
Forget about the light one, use the one on the right for frying, the darker the olive oil it is the better that's why extra virgen is darker. Also when it comes to taste quality one, you should feel in your throat.
Hi, thanks for posting! Do you use the light olive oil or the standard? I’m leaning towards the light in colour for frying?
II use extra Virgin olive oil too this one it's for frying.
Not Extra Virgin ? who uses this cart grease ? Im out.
I am not Spanish, but I like Extra Virgin Olive Oil . Almost same price per littre https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/sainsburys-olive-oil--extra-virgin-1l
Has the price changed to £19.99??
Its really tasty Stephen!
Lidl had kalamata extra virgin oil a while ago and I got it reduced to £2.09 for 500 Ml from £2.99. The Lidl own Greek brand erinoussos or something like that
Filippo Berio is one of the better ones out there so this is a great deal. Nothing is better than a quality Greek Olive oil from the islands but its not always easy to get here in the UK
Yes Lidl is £2.92 a litre when buying the 750 ml primadonna for £2.19
Heat added. Was about to post it too. Here is the Tesco link. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/267236519
Oh I get you. And nope, didn’t look as don’t need any. Just saw it had expired and had a look why.
Clearly you can be assed.
That doesn’t make any sense?
I ordered these 3 months and received them last month. Didnt mind the wait tbh as i got a bargain
Clearly you can.
4 pounds in Asda! Asda has discontinued most of its own brand cosmetics to make more money by selling top brands. ASDA isn't cheap any longer.
For those who can't find this, the 500ml bottles are £2.
None in Westfield
Yeah i want that funky pouring spout thing. I'll walk pass today and try again, if not ill settle for 500ml Unless it's on the 500ml bottles too and i just wasted my own time lol
There should be 500ml, they are reduced too
Also none in the little waitrose in Holborn station
From a quick search it looks like it is all olive oil, but some of the olive oil comes from poor quality olive oil that needs to be further processed before it can be used. Virgin olive oil is not refined it is olive oil directly from the olives. See for instance https://www.thekitchn.com/whats-the-difference-between-olive-oil-and-extra-virgin-olive-oil-word-of-mouth-218767 When I was in Italy people would use cheap olive oil to fry with, but if they were adding it to a salad or somewhere where the taste is more important use extra virgin olive oil.
If you are interested in olive oil read this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extra-Virginity-Sublime-Scandalous-World-ebook/dp/B00JNYNHHW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528302875&sr=8-1π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=olive+oil+book But then you wont be buying oil from Aldi and lidl anymore ;(
OP - surely that's exactly the point of both Aldi and Lidl, specials and more specials that change regularly. The other difference between the Lidl Spanish extra virgin Olive Oil and the Asda own brand is in the words you quote in your listing - "Oil comprising exclusively olive oils that have undergone refining and oils obtained directly from olives" - which I feel means that if the oil is in any way related to olive oil it's included. That statement is a red flag to me, as does any line that is effectively saying "from more than one source". Not voting either way as I am sure that Asda sell 1,000s of litres of this oil, just not to me or anyone else that likes to know what is actually being sold to them.
I agree you have to.be quick, managed to pick up a couple last week only 4 on the shelves.
great deal, but my experience with lidl offers isn't great, they only have limited stock of these great offers, my lidl sells out within hours, I've yet to bag any of the lidl deals
Not extra Virgin.
When I was there, the Extra Virgin Oil bottles were right at the bottom of the whole stack (about 7 boxes!) and I struggled to get them out. I hope I have not caused an accident there … as quite a few bottles had already been wriggled out of the BOTTOM box!
And the Spanish too.
Providing you don't burn the oil, there's no problem.
Delicious doesn't mean its done right. It can be delicious but equally as bad for your health :D Learn the right thing, not what someone says or does.
Not sure about what you mean but Baylis & Harding have been around a lot longer than any of the others and are a British Company and i'm sure all brands copy each other in some way. Still a good deal £2.39 each for a big bottle i like the pump makes it easy to use.
Started out cashing in on Molton Brown's packaging for hand wash, now apparently attempting to siphon off some of GHD's good will from their straighteners for shampoo?
