About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Crosland Oil Filter | Euro Car Parts

Crosland Oil FilterEngine oil serves three main purposes, most people probably already know oil lubricates the engine's internal components such as the bearings, crankshaft, camshafts and lifters. Perhaps less known are the remaining primary functions; cooling and cleaning. Oil cools internal engine components and keeps engine temperatures under control while detergents and additives remove carbon build up and dirt that has found its way into the crankcase through the combustion chamber by way of the air intake.

Today's engines run so cleanly that 10,000-mile oil change intervals are considered normal, but the job of the filter hasn't changed. It has to do its job well or the engine can suffer major damage.

It is highly recommended that the Oil Filter is replaced every time the engine oil is changed.

    How it's made

Christ, that’s bad... Not a single piece of PPE in sight, children in the workshop. Metal filings still visible on parts after the boy has buffed them! Can’t believe that this isn’t some kind of undercover exposée but actually seems to have been filmed FOR the company! How on Earth do they think this shows them and their product in a good light?! I buy Mann or Bosch - their manufacturing process will be nothing like this, right?

Personally I wouldn’t fit anything crosland  branded from euro car parts, it’s cheap rubbish that euros own the naming rights to. Fitted a crosland fuel filter to an insignia years ago and it broke down on the way home. Replaced it with a decent mann filter and no problems

Euro car parts are the sports direct of the motor trade!!

Agree. There’s one easy way to know if you should fit the part to your car. If it’s on this site, then give it a wide berth

Oil filters are a critical component on your car and they vary enormously in quality. Don't risk you engine for the sake of a couple of quid! (edited)

1st Choice: Always, every-time - OEM from dealership.

If you insist on saving £4/5, then:

    Mann for the win.

Do I know what I'm talking about?

Deep Divers, back me up.... (edited)

Really useful deal if you happen to own certain fiat/seat/lancia/Alfa/Yugo from the 80s or early 90s. Suspect that's a bit of a niche market these days, they weren't exactly known for their reliability of longevity!
    Libertas's avatar
Thats because they used crossland filters from factory!

Cool, this fits my 1986 Yugo 45

It fits ancient cars that don't exist anymore except in a forgotten barn somewhere

Fist Uno, Sciento, Ibiza upto 1993. Get the idea.

Standard pointless post. Right up there with wipers and brake discs that fit so few cars it's pointless to post but still does.
    And still gets heat.

Thanks OP. Alright if you own a Seat or a Yugo? 😃

Nothing wrong with cheap oil filters. Just make sure your sump plug is a magnetic, and sod the manufacturers recommendations, change your oil every 3 to 5,000 miles with the cheap filter. Much better than every 10,000 miles with an expensive filter. (edited)

    5,000 - I agree with whole heartedly.

A filter is NOT the place to be making savings.

At 5,000 intervals - you can go cheaper on the oil.
