I have had a few of these..(including the larger MXS 7 and 10) they have been good to a point. All have failed after 4 or 5 years. ( I stil ahve a couple of ancient 70s chargers and my big starter/charger from the 90's that are still as good as new... but they are simple foolfroof in terms of tech and are bulletproof)

The CTEK connectors leads are great for hard wiring and quick connect. The ones with the LEDS are great for a quick visial reference. On these I have no wires break at the enrty/exit point on the chargers.. which is a common failure point in most things. The issue has always been internal component failure.
They have been well used TBH on everyting from Range Rovers to Classic cars of various marques.

IF you need re-conditioning mode thse are pretty decent, but if you are just charging or keeping a batttery in good condition over the winter etc.. there are probably cheaper options.

This one charges flat batteries?? Excellent! My smart one is so smart wont charge a flat battery so had to get an old styled charger.

Just be mindful that it won't charge a battery showing less than 2V, so you will still need your trusty old one to recover a fully flat battery.

Quite simply the best brand for chargers. Mine has lasted over 10 years. Not sure what the upgrade is all about but presumably it's even better now?

    Heat added!
