Here’s a quick snippet from the article I’ve linked:
(edited)
I bought Days Gone from CDKeys a few weeks ago and then discovered soon after that, even though the game looks and performs perfectly okay on my RTX 2070, the GPU's fan ramps up much higher than on any other game I own. It constantly goes to 100% and then back down again, which is very annoying. Apparently this issue is fairly common with Playstation to PC conversions, presumably due to poor optimisation.
After playing it for 34 minutes, it's the first time I have ever asked for my money back. Unfortunately, as the 3rd-party key had already been redeemed, it was no longer eligible for a refund.
I 100%'ed the game putting in over 50 hours & was always impressed with how well the game ran, that was on a 3080 though.
Have some heat, OP!
Forgot to mention that other games also max out the GPU fan, not just this one. (edited)
