As a long time player, who went back in today to see what had changed after 4 months......very little.
I was amazed to see the same recycled crap still in the shop after all that time......
I stopped playing when they released Atlantic city as it's the same expedition rubbish nobody wanted, and that's the 2nd time they've done it now...you think they'd have learnt the 1st time, since nobody does expeditions after the 1st run other than to get stuff they need or complete a daily quest - it's basically rubbish.
The game relies HEAVILY on having 1st membership and it will be a struggle managing inventory etc without it, especially at higher levels - even WITH 1st!
This game is great up to level 150 ish, after that it's the same old every day, nothing new.... picking up gnomes, eating pumpkins, finding lighters...wth Bethesda!!!!!! put some effort in then you might keep players interested and paying for 1st.
If it weren't for the community, and the friends I've made I don't think I'd have played past lvl 150....as it is I'm lvl 1100 nearly and that is ENTIRELY down to the friend base I've made on there..
It's not a bad game, but it's not a good game.
Bottom line is I would NOT pay for the base game since having to have 1st (for it to be any real fun and not hassle) is way too expensive for what you get. (edited)

If you've played it for the length of time to get to level 1100, for whatever reason. Then how you can say it isn't a good game is beyond me! I bought Fallout 1st way back when, but it has long since lapsed, and i now play it entirely fine without that. Inventory management is a bit of a struggle, but can be reasonably managed once you get experienced at it as long as you're not an out and out hoarder type person. And apparently in the not too distant future they are finally expanding the main map somewhat in the bottom area. I am a big Fallout 4 fan, and if i'd listen to all the negativity around Fallout 76, then i geuinely would've missed out on a great Fallout game and experience. (edited)

Do we know if this is just the DLC or main game too.

Usually they state it in the title if it is the DLC so I believe this one isn’t

The only game I think I have to trade is Resident Evil HD, I'll have to check 🤷🏻‍♂️ (edited)

At first I thought it was DLC... the way it was described.
But it looks like it might be the main game, although the cover is very confusing.

It is just the main game, Atlantic city is an instance in it - that is all. There are a couple of things that aren't bad - but the rest is rubbish.
It kinda is a DLC, but not at the same time - really it's just a minor update in the grand scale of things and it arrives in a regular update rather than a seperate DLC - it's not something you have to pay for.....thankfully since it wouldn't be worth £1 imo.
Some of those versions (deluxe etc) you MIGHT get a few freebies/uniques in, I don't know, maybe some atoms or stuff to put in your base or a costume. (edited)

i expect Fallout 76 will be free at some point it is very long in the tooth now. How about giving it away for free and charging for a new content expansion (note that is worth the money) 😜

Fallout 76 Has Multiple Free Expansions Since its release, Fallout 76 has had seventeen major updates and thirteen content seasons. All of these are absolutely free, and come pre-installed with purchase of the base game; the paid DLCs available for it are entirely cosmetic, and won't add much to the overall experience.

I grabbed this just out of curiosity to see how it ran on the steam deck, as i was actually enjoing it after i got the amazon prime xbox version free, and i have to say it runs great, very impressed, i have high settings, low shadows, med lighting, and i stick it to 40 fps, and it just whizzes along, way better than it does on my old pc with its 10 year old i7 4770 core and RX 6400........

Oh and i also was surprised to see my xbox charactor appear on the steam version, so i assume i must have at some point linked my xbox account to steam, so that was also a nice little bonus, means i can now pop between the series xbox and SD. :-)

But yeah, if you have a steam deck then you have no worries with this game, runs great. (edited)
