Seems the numbering is either mixed up or has been revised as The Gospel Makers is book 1 here, but book 11 in the original releases.
Book 1: The Gospel Makers
The Revelationists, flocking to organize in rural Shillingham, are a secretive bunch.
They are taking over the village with their extreme religious mantra, and seem to be reaching a cult-like status.
Detective Chief Inspector David Webb is instinctively suspicious of the group, so when one of his police officers, Nina Petrie, offers to investigate undercover, he agrees.
But Detective Inspector Petrie soon finds herself being sucked in...
Could the apocalyptic message the sect is preaching be based on reality? Or are they using illegal means to dupe their followers?
When a wine merchant is found murdered in his hotel room the plot thickens.
And Webb's attention quickly shifts to the discovery of the dead man.
Who was he, and who were the mysterious couple he was last seen with?
Even after his identity has been established, there appears to be no motive for his murder…
