Seeing the comments about the £135 previous deal, I thought oh wow I must've missed that one.
Looking back at that deal, I've now remembered I didn't miss it - I bought it!
And looking back at the comment I made back then (replying to ), what I predicted came true - 6 months on I still haven't used it.

Yes I was unsure about buying it too because I don't know when I'll get chance to use it - it's going to be some time before I'm making the furniture that needs a high gloss finish - but I keep telling myself I got a cracking deal!

Bought this 3 months ago for £135 , same company. Polished one of our L200 trucks back to new(stripped city grime off readily). Use carefully on paint with T cut. GR8 tool.

I got this a few months ago when it was on here for £135. It was for future furniture making projects so that I can get a high gloss finish. I haven't used it yet though I might give it a whiz on my car. It's bigger and heavier than I expected but solidly built. I guess if polishing cars is your thing it will be a good buy even at this price.

£135 was a steal and I wish I'd been looking for it then. This was just the best price I could see now when most places are charging £180 or more

What make it different from angle grinder vs using different disks obviously

It has an orbital action as well as just spinning, hence the ‘dual action’ part. This is to help prevent causing marks from staying on one spot

But yes there a lot of similarities in fairness

The DCM849N is only a pound or so more from the same seller if you're after a bigger 180mm version (edited)

The 849 is a rotary polisher. Different to this deal's dual-action polisher. Unless you're experienced and know the way those are used, I'd avoid the 849, otherwise you could do more harm than good to your paintwork.
