Don't these tend to attract flies?
I've read you're supposed to keep them far from your home.

It's designed for your house, otherwise you might as well just empty direct into your main compost bin.

The problem with these, is that fruit flies can work their way in. It's not a big problem if emptied regularly. I did see a type the other week that was marketed as being fly-resistant, with no flies being able to get in. Not done any research so don't know if it works, but will go for that next time.

Does anyone here use this? I'm so sick of taking bananas out into the bin outside because they stink out the kitchen bin

Anybody know if this is walk mountable, would be perfect in bathroom for toiletries that can't be flushed and other things bathroom related

You could just drill two holes in the back of it and make it wall mountable

    Not our council.
I bought one of these a year ago and it was well worth it.

Surely this IS the Addis bin, rebadged ? The Addis bin is good.

I have the Addis bin for meat & fish waste (from other residents of the house). If the lid is closed properly, no insects get in. It's a good product.

I have a larger and more expensive Brabantia bin next to it for all other food waste. Despite the £20 price tag, this one was inferior. I had to put silicone sealant all around the top moulding to stop insects getting in that. The attachment of the handle to the bin is also very flimsy.

you can get these on Amazon, on offer a few times a year too, where they also sell bags the right size to go in them!

I use one as a first aid box, the other to put fruit skin and used tea bags in before I take them to the outside bin!
