This isn't as good as normal cheddar, but a whole block of the original is under 600kc.
It's mostly protein, so great for those looking to build muscle or lose weight.
It melts surprisingly well, despite being a bit 'rubbery'.
Also lactose free.
I've pretty much lived off this for the last 5 years - it means I can have decent amount of cheese without it ending up being 50% of my calories for the day!

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY, BUY ONE GET ONE FREE ON EATLEAN ORIGINAL BLOCKS! SIMPLY ADD TO BASKET AND ADDITIONAL ITEM(S) WILL BE ADDEDHALF THE CALORIES OF CHEDDAR, 90% LESS FAT, 45% MORE PROTEIN. MAKING HEALTHY EATING, EASY!

£2 a block is as cheap as it's ever been pretty much, which they had that on the smoked option too, but happy to stock up on normal.
You can freeze it, but it'll go crumbly on defrosting.
They tend to have long date dues and mature nicely in the fridge.

Any idea what sort of date they come with?
Tempted to stock up but not sure of the shelf life.

Normally they have a really long shelf life - in the order of 4 to 6 months, but will vary by batch.
I've occasionally found some that were mouldy (Out of hundreds bought in total) while still in date - I guess contamination, a hole in the pack or something. They have refunded these fine through their website.
I actually find they taste better if kept after their date due - a bit more mature!

Sometimes they sell short dated ones cheaper, but mention the date due on their website if they do.

The yellow fronted 'Tasty range' has a mature taste, not bland like the blue fronted original. The Tasty have BOGFO today

I tried this a few weeks ago. I think the OP has been pretty honest about this . It's rubbery but good protein content, I wouldn't have it as a cheese sandwich but if you want to melt it with something and want to eat healthy it's a decent deal.

I picked this up once and oh my, it's like polyethylene planer shavings on toast.

I'm actually amazed it's called cheese, it tastes more but the bag it came in.

Tempted by this if it melts properly

It doesn't go brown and bubbly ontop, but I find it great melted in/with food.
I do find it melts way better than the weight watchers cheese (if that still exists).
Recently I've taken too chopping off a few chunks, 30s in the microwave on a plate to melt and eating the gooey melted discs of cheese with a spoon.
(Yes, maybe I have 'a problem'!)
