Did you know that the expiry date on a bottle of water is for the plastic bottle not the water?

So we can't drink the water anymore as the bottle is expired?

A good buy but as the expiration date is close the carbonization is starting to fail.

I bought 4 and only 2 were still fizzy . . . at that ratio I will be buying again,

The carbonization is currently costing more than the water which explains the shortage of Fizzy Water on the Supermarket shelves.

That said still a good post

Good to know thanks. Normally I buy my sparkling water in glass bottles, and I think manufacturers should be doing this now commonly than using plastic. Glass is also refillable as it was back in the day.

Cases of it in Edinburgh store. Works out cheaper per litre than using my Aarke which is bonkers.

They might be in a different place to where you might expect them. My experience at Beckton Retail Park today suggests that not all is transparent. They were placed above a shelf price of 2.89. So not a lot of takers except those in the know through this excellent website and its wonderful posters........................

The expiry date is more for expected product quality for a premium brand.

The bottles are made so thin these days the carbonation starts to pass through the plastic and eventually will become flat.

Had some Costco water which had lost its carbonation and water tasted fine otherwise.

Don’t believe air born “chemical” particles can leach the other way due to being at atmospheric pressure. (edited)
