Ahh, 1 per customer - that's a waste of effort. I would have bought enough stock to get to the £25 if allowed. Great price on the surface, but I see this as clickbait price to get you to pay £23 for other stuff not as well priced - just to get the one thing you want. I've never understood this model. What have I got wrong??

Nothing. Sums up the position exactly.

I used to buy a lot from this lot when they were Yankee Bundles and had free delivery on all orders. Haven't bought from them in ages.

I find myself repeating what I said from the 1p Heinz deal they did
"In times gone buy these were called "Loss Leaders" a product sold at a loss to attract customers" so fill your boots with 10p of great deals & spend another £24.90 on crap u would never of brought to save maybe £5. "

This is an amazing site sometimes. Every single comment has made much the same (accurate) comment about how rubbish this deal is and how rubbish Discount Dragon has become, and yet the deal has gone hot.

Exactly and why has it gone hot. Folk must be hitting the heat button without as much as a single thought as to what the deal is, let alone actually clicking on it and seeing why it is clearly clickbait. I would like to say something about the 'quality' of folk here voting, but there is no way of dressing it up in a way that wouldn't be insulting.

I've said it before - I would stop people voting on anything until they have read the terms, or at the very least opened the darn deal up and at least read more than the 1st line

I read here the comments and i'm laughing. The sense of entitlement of some people is breathtaking. Also it's nonsense to write anything has changed between Yankee Bundles and Discount Dragon - they are bringing random products with short expiry dates, just upped a bit the free delivery from £20 to £25.

Why do you think that a business should make a loss because you just want to buy one product? If you buy this product at £1.99 and expect free delivery you are deluded, because the delivery could cost more than the product. Why would they do that as a business? they need to make money somehow.

So yes, it's a hook to get you to the website , to spend the £25 and get free delivery.

    By the way, voted HOT!

Sense of entitlement? There just seems to be a lot of people who realise it isn't a deal because nothing else on the site is good value and therefore you need to spend a lot of money on other things that aren't well priced and/or that you don't need.

It isn't the same as a loss-leader in the supermarket where you can still get the things you would normally buy at a competitive price while you are there.

Yankee Bundles quite often used to offer free delivery regardless of spend, or on certain items as far as I can recall. I haven't bought anything since they rebranded for the reasons listed here.

Not if you click free delivery- 7 days

Rubbish company, and unless you're spending £23 on junk from them then this isn't really a deal either. It's a hook.
  7. sam2142's avatar
Forcing users min spend is killing it for me. I'd rather pay for something + delivery on top of the below min spend.

Great way of advertising how bad everything else is on the site. 1 good deal and absolutely nothing else worth getting.

They are a great company with clever marketing. You get many bargains haha (edited)

    Sarcasm I assume?

I have a basket full of stuff, I need only £3 for free delivery, I know I will buy £3 of crap to save the £5 delivery...what crap should I add?
    andiron87's avatar
What did you add to get to £22?
I've gone through their pages and everything is expensive - random wine bottle £7, pasta £1.50, a lot odd things..

A lot of the stuff I see for £1.99 on this site you can get from the pound shop. Shame... I used to love Yankee Bundles.

the coffee pods look quite reasonably priced to bump this up
  16. NeelixWasANiceMan's avatar
The Joe and the juice coffee pods were my filler for buying other things and bringing the basket up to the right amount, but blooming This Morning decided to give the game away and show them on a deals segment, and then suddenly they're all gone.

For anyone whos interested, I have spotted that DiscountDragon have now removed the minimum order value of £25. If you make an order under £25 you will have a £5.99 delivery chrage,

    How kind

Discount Dragon was brilliant until they appeared on This Morning, minimum order went straight up from £20 to £25, still some cracking deals on Brewdog though

There is not a minimum order anymore, you can order under £25 worth. however you do pay delivery of 5.99 if the order is under £25.
  19. skipraider's avatar
Just like the 1p items they had before - Only One Per Order.
    Do they think we're stupid?

I mean I'm in favour of this, because of they had it unlimited then people would order the maximum, by having it at 1 per customer it's fair.
