For me, the gas one's work much better / faster. I found the electric one frustratingly slow in comparison. (edited)

Shit a brick that bad boyo would cost you £19.99 every time you use it. If you have shit loads of weed .

    Really?
1kWh on Octopus Tracker today is 19.19p
At max power this uses 2kWh
So 1 hour of use would cost a max of 38p
If we went mad for 5 hours (continuously) it would be £1.91
Given you switch it on, zap weed, switch off, move to next weed etc, I doubt it would cost more than £1 for 5 hours!

The thing I don't like about these is that they burn any insects, young frogs, worms etc that are in, under and around the weeds.

As opposed to dropping chemicals on them which is so much more humane

About 40p per hour to run.
Expensive if you have a field of electric weeds

If you have a field of electric weeds, just plug it into the weeds..............

Drop of thick bleach, centre of each weed, 49p

Wait, I can use my hairdryer

    Or as your hairdryer. Once

You wouldn't get far into a "field of weeds" as it's mains powered. Need a very, very long extension wire

    Luckily they exist.
  8. supersue's avatar
And cost a lot more than the electric weed killer itself!

First my car now my weed killer is not allowed to burn fuel and has to be electric
    JoShmo's avatar
The electric has probably come from burning fuel already.

Ack! These often get me. I was thinking ‘brilliant, we’ll do the big shop at Aldi this weekend and I can try this out after’
