I would hope that before/if I ever get to that age, I would have done everything anyway.

For many people in this day and age, a fun thing to do in retirement will be to try and maintain a roof over their head with a vastly reduced income. Seriously, for Generation Rent, this will be a real concern. Apart from the lucky few who have inherited money by that time, I forsee major issues with housing for the Millenials/Zoomers etc by then....

I'm generation X and after a divorce years ago I can only rent. No way I can ever get to owning a house again until my parents die. And even then with three of us. I'm going to have to rent for good unless I find a rich widow.

Escape the UK! Retiring in the UK now is either you’re ill and on £150 a week, benefits on £90 or pension on £180 a week. Hardly anyone has a pension due to rip off uk. This book is based on the last generation

Unless you're an MP, teacher or Police officer who'll get a decent pension. (edited)

There is a SKI club in Oz that goes around on holiday throughout their retirement (Spend the Kids Inheritence). They are a great bunch to hang out with as they campervan up into Northern Territories and Queensland to avoid the winter weather in the South.
