Or get an emulation console off AliExpress for about £50-75 and have access to every GB through to PS1 game. Miyoo Mini (if it ever comes back in stock) or Anbernic RG35.
    adamtattonreid's avatar
    Well yes, but that's illegal.

Do we know if Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 contains the 38 e-reader levels? That would be amazing, having them legit after all this time.
    Derpsauce's avatar
Yes it does, they stated this during the direct.

    This is not a ‘deal’
    Vomit's avatar
Why not? You're getting more for your money. Sounds like a deal to me.

Mario Land 2 is one of the best Mario games released so far!

Can you 'upgrade' an existing NSO sub to include the expansion?
    pirate1's avatar
    Author
You can, via your Nintendo account you can use your remaining time left on your current sub to offset against the upgrade cost.
Alternatively, you can join a family subscription group and share the cost, this would end your current membership and replace it with a year of expansion pack

The switch apps for the retro console all emulate the original games, emulation itself is not illegal.

No pokemon has to be a joke... the game that made gameboy what it was
    CoolDude0123's avatar
I know you mean the main games but this one is coming

Love reading all the comments from people claiming ROMs/emulation are illegal, crying about supporting the creators. It's almost as if most of us emulating these games owned them at some point in the past 20 years, paid full retail price at release and have already supported the developers most of which aren't profiting at all from the monthly charge Nintendo gets for them in 2023.

It's embarrassing that adults are getting uppity about a games released in 1998 being emulated.

    SIX YEARS!
There's already talk about the successor to the Switch, and they drop this. Too little, too late.
    iSoupz's avatar
Too little too late? It's like the third best selling console of all time. I don't think Nintendo are too bothered.

Zelda Link's awakening and Minish cap are fantastic, Oracle of seasons and oracle of ages a bit less imho... but these 4 games alone are worth the price you pay
    stuartc74's avatar
Awakening DX is one of my favourite Zelda's. It's amazing what they got out of such a basic system like the Gameboy was. (edited)
  15. Ljsdad's avatar
Any idea when this will be added (edited)
    jco83's avatar
    It's available now!

    Gargoyle's Quest, seriously under rated

Anyway way to get online + expansion for really cheap?

Join a group membership, same benefits and shared between 8 others works out around £7.50 a year
  18. Jack_Castro's avatar
Have they given up on making new games at Nintendo?? They're just rehashing old games at premium prices.
  19. Mosh196's avatar
    No "Days of Thunder"?

    Pffffff
    camaj's avatar
I was going to say no Solomon's key? But then I remembered the NES version is available but I'd love to try the sequel
  20. xMATHARUx's avatar
Cheapest way to get Nintendo online expansion pack? VPN?
    jco83's avatar
The cheapest way is to do it with or join a group of 8 people in a family group with the expansion pack family membership and split the cost
  21. ZakBailey's avatar
How is this a deal ? Explain it’s just a Nintendo subscription the emulation on GBA is not good
    markyo007's avatar
    You don’t have to
  22. eternalomen's avatar
Did I just see golden sun....❤️
    owencoogan13's avatar
To be added later no date as of yet
  23. Asy370Z's avatar
Was hoping for the main series Pokémon games... They're adding Stadium 1+2 eventually and the handheld games were pretty much a requirement for them
  24. sniperpenguin's avatar
Imagine charging an actual money fee to play Advance ROMs .......... Jesus.

Nintendo are really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
    jco83's avatar
A business which makes their money by creating and selling video games? Selling their games?? For actual money!? OUTRAGEOUS!
  25. luckysalt1ec8f1's avatar
Weird selection of games. Why no Super Mario Land 1? But 2.

    WHERE IS ALLEYWAY!
    Terrahawker's avatar
A chronological release of classics would have been much better - a curated list that sets out the history of the system and its better games, rather than randomness and sequels.

    Classic Nintendo. (edited)

    *laughs in free emulator*
    stuartc74's avatar
I don't want pirate versions. Anyone can run an emulator for gameboy games. I prefer to support the industry rather than being a criminal. (edited)

Omg omg omg the Minish Cap
    cloysterpete's avatar
Sucks that I can’t just go out and buy Minish Cap, I’m not paying £35 to rent it for a year.
  32. struder's avatar
I think I'll join when Fusion, PTCG, stadium 1 and 2 are out. Really surprised by lack of pokemon. But that probably means we will get separate paid releases down the line for them instead.
    hooky17's avatar
I suspect it’s to do with the Eshop on the 3DS. The mainline games are still available there and still sell from what I understand. With Stadium coming, and that eshop closing for good in May. I’d be very surprised if we didn’t see them make their way there after that
  33. Derpsauce's avatar
Its a shame the current games are kinda meh, maybe 2 good game between both releases sofar, that's standard these days tho.
    DigitalKnight's avatar
    Says you
  34. deleted221478's avatar
They will release pokemon next year, just after your current subscription has run out so you buy another
    Indigorush's avatar
    You figured out their strategy!
  35. ashfields's avatar
THE MINISH CAP IS AMAZING! can’t wait to play that again

  37. jopilar's avatar
    What??! No Super Mario Land?

What a shame.....I would have paid up just to play this on the big tv.
  38. Toma69's avatar
Would like the original Pokémon games
