If only the one pictured was that price. It's around £600 (not sure if it's the 6m or 7m working height model which includes outriggers).

For £274 you only get a 4m working height tower with no outriggers.

Thats a bit naughty if thats right.I would prefer something a bit wider, but the price would probably start to jump up.

50371747-zzg2a.jpgJust like this one - the outriggers (well worth it if using on any uneven surface) are extra… it’s very good if you have high hedges like me!

p.S after ordering I got an email saying it was out of stock and would be another two weeks for delivery. After two weeks had passed I emailed them threatening to cancel and it arrived the next day. The tower is great but unimpressed they don’t warn you they have no immediate stock. If I’d have been in a rush I would have been furious very unimpressed  (edited)

You'd get at least 7 to 8 loads of washing on there!

In the photo that guys feet look like they are 2metres off the ground. How can they call this 4m?

Cheap flimsy and takes about 4 years to build to do anything. Just hire a proper scaffold.

I can't believe you'd make your Gran climb scaffolding, save some money and make her shin up the drain pipe!

I ended my BT career, as a overhead trainer. I've seen too many accidents, with people working at height. I will not go up a ladder now. Too many variables, including my own failings.

Agree my mate in his 50’s fell off his bungalow roof so not stupidly high and he only went up to try out his new ladder !! A luckily placed keter type plastic storage bin broke his fall and prevented any head injury but he suffered broken ribs etc

This is what will be written on my tombstone, however the tombstone will still topple over flat since it was not installed correctly by a tradesmen

Owned one of these for over a decade - they are great - really lightweight but solid. would heartily recommend.

bought it from BPS too if i recall

Better buy something stronger or rent if you plan to work say 6m high

Im not argue bad or good product
We employed people to do repointing job and they have Scaffold Tower with different level and walking platform was full length of the house after they finish job they left Scaffold Tower for 1-2 week maybe they waited other job or else not my business . Anyway then i have time to do other jobs. Because i can access windows etc plus roof tiles etc ... and remember was scary to walk on the top level
but the Scaffold Tower was very strong now imagine my self same situation with this Scaffold Tower at 6m high doing some work no no no no way i will be taking chance + not the light person 19 STONE imagine Scaffold Tower vibrating from my weight because you working and not standing there

Any idea roughly how much they charged for scaffolding to the re-pointing work?

Non adjustable feet means it is no good for uneven ground. Yes you have outriggers, but they are stabilisers, and not weight bearing. A better tower would have wind up legs for adjustment

Does anyone know roughly what price a similar scaffold would cost rather then getting this DIY scaffold deal?

    something like this job:
