Still dealing with them from the previous 830 deal. The first laptop they shipped out had a faulty keyboard with some keys that didnt work.

The replacement laptop liked to randomly delete files even when it was sitting in safe mode (I was trying to diagnose if it was a software or hardware issue) Once it started doing it in safe mode, i knew it was beyond any simple software fix I could have eventually done.

The guy who is running their ebay account has always been very quick to respond and customer support/service has been exemplary so far.

I told them i attempted a self fix for the file deleting laptop by updating the bios and drivers direct from HP's own website. While he could have cut ties with me and fobbed me off there and then. He didnt and arranged a courier to collect the faulty one and drop off a third replacement.

The third laptop from them has just arrived as I was typing this, so heres to hoping that im third time lucky

If you slap an extra 8GB of ram in this (£6 from cex last time I checked) then it would be a great general purpose laptop. browsing the net, multiple tabs open in chrome, emails. youtube streaming netflix/amazon prime etc. Some light/casual gaming as well.

The internal graphics card in it isnt super strong but you are able to unlock more performance by adding another stick of ram for dual channel which will net another 20-35%'ish performance gain for games but 16GB does help the system generally run a lot smoother overall.

Do be careful with ordering online from CeX though as they have a penchant for sending out the wrong item then make you wait 2-3hrs for a refund. Check online to see which store has stock and go there in person to buy instead. (edited)

Definitely don't buy in person at CEX or you lose the 14 day refund policy

In store only gives you credit for refund

Maybe you can do an online click and collect after inspecting it in-store is the best way?

Has anyone ordered from this company before? Any feedback on what the conditions like compared to the description?

I’ve had 2 laptops from them in the past for personal use and got one for my dad as well. No issues here to report.

They’ve had several deals posted recently and their eBay feedback was 100% the last time I looked.

Got one of these but not from same company. Brilliant laptop imo (only used for writing and browsing).

    Battery: Minimum 50% Battery Life

    Not confidence inspiring.

Have the same range of HP laptops at work. I now carry a power bank with USB C charging (100w) for when I’m in meeting rooms or off-site. 3HR of normal use and it’s finished.
Probably not hard to change as I’ve upgraded the RAM in mine

I received the G6 model from these people today. Apart from a few light scratches on the top it looks like it has been hardly used. Battery charges to about 86% so pleased with my purchase so far!

I had this laptop for about 2 years at work and it handled everything I threw at it, including about 20 internet tabs, around 5 spreadsheets and 5 word documents open at any time. Plus outlook, teams and various other programs! Great battery life even after 2 years of use, but it was mostly charging.

I ordered one of these the last time. Windows Battery report is a bit under 2/3rd original, laptop is in great condition, small dent on the bottom, but otherwise perfect. I spent a tenner on doubling the RAM, which brings it up to basically identical to my work provided laptop. I bought it as it'll dock to my work from home dock, and happily run 2 monitors, plus the laptop screen itself, a couple of browsers with many tabs, office apps etc, and is reasonably portable for a laptop, and Win 11 compliant.

Are you running the screens via HDMI and USB C or a USB C dock to dual HDMI’s?
    Any issues?

These any good for mild programming?
    MattMac's avatar
These are HP's mid business range so perfect for that if the small screen size doesn't bother you. The build quality is very good on these.

Obviously someone doing serious programming would probably be usually spending £1,000 on a machine but if less than £200 is your budget this is going to be incredibly hard to beat.

I got this laptop from these guys for this price about a month ago. Battery came at 65% which is actually fine for a few hours work use - office admin and a few browsers open. The only thing i wish I knew was its only 220 nits!! Its rubbish for working outside but for a cheap work laptop with good build quality and touch screen then this is it.

These will definitely be ex leasing company laptops, if they offer 12month warranty which covers the battery then its a very good deal.

G5/G6 Models are both coming to end of their lease cycle this year

Thanks, got one and also added an extra 8GB of RAM bought from CEX as recommended by AngryCT above.
