Anyone have experience of these? Tempted to replace my Google Nest (not the new one!) with this as a mesh. I've been eyeing up the Asus XT8s (which I had before and were amazing), but I suspect the performance in my case will be pretty similar with these as I will have them wired in any event.

I have the XT9s which are fantastic. These shouldn't be too bad, though 3000Mbps might be tight if you have a lot of devices connected. Having said that they should be a big step up from the old Google kit I would think.

No photos of the back of each one. Three network sockets on each? (edited)

Amazon sell the same kit for £249
    amazon.co.uk/dp/…BQ2

Three ethernet ports on the back of each unit.

Are these mesh kits decent? I’ve an office in my loft, two floors up from the router and using a homeplug at the moment, but it’s pretty poor in terms of speed. Would this be a big improvement? How about ping time? Thanks in advance if anyone has info!

Mesh on each floor, job done.

How is the software on these? Also the network reliability?

I find a lot of kit is let down by software

Huawei were the preeminent leader in networking technology until the US hobbled them. Their annual R&D spend is higher than Apple's.
Have one of their cheap routers at home, working fine with no issues for around 2y now, having put the Virgin potato into modem mode.

Has anyone used these with sky fibre? My parents recently switched to sky and the WiFi has suffered. Sky are trying to get them to add sky boost or something to their subscription which sounds like they will just provide some kind of mesh system...
    Anewchange's avatar
This will work with any internet, dont buy any stupid sky boost.

Just Googled it. What an absolute joke. You pay a fiver more a month to guarantee the WiFi can do what you paid for. And it only guarantees 3mpbs lol

Its like you buying a Ferrari from me and if you pay me 10% extra, I'll guarantee it can do 30mph lol

    More like 10 mphs actually.

Basically its a con to prey on the technically unastute. Run a mile. (edited)
