The Hultafors PK GH Precision Knife has a blade made from Japanese knife steel 2.0mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58–60 HRC. The cutting edge has been sharpened in several stages, with a final honing on a leather strop. It has a friction grip meaning that it is adapted to work where more precision is required such as removing the burr off plastic pipes, carving or in places with limited access. The handle is made from super-durable PP plastic and fitted with a Santoprene friction grip. Supplied with a holster that can be attached around a button on your work clothes so that it does not come loose whilst still being easy to remove.

Is this good for chopping apples?

I use an Axe for that. So I'm sorry I have no idea. (edited)

Have had one of these for a number of years for work, and it's been fantastic; not had any rust issues, is super sharp out of the box, and is easy to keep sharp.

Good luck explaining (edited)to the magistrate why you forgot you had that on your belt (edited)

I would imagine that exposing anything to the magistrate will mean the knife will be the least of your problems!

The blade on this is just under 3 inches (7.5cm) - the pictures make you think it's about 6 inches. Also blade is not stainless steel, so it'll rust if it gets wet - unless you dry and oil it. (edited)

Like anything that's under 3 inches, pictures can make them look about 6 inches
     .

I suspect if you are buying this, for this price, you won't care enough if it rusts. However, drying off a knife is not exactly difficult and I have had a number of carbon steel blades (around this price) that have been excellent in the field, all been abused. As long as you have the right knife care routine, they can last.

Hultafors knives are brilliant, I have one of their Craftsman's knives. Very similar to this but with a deeper blade. Cheap as chips but the steel is fantastic. OK, it's not stainless so you need to dry it after use, but that's hardly a chore, and with it not being stainless it's really easy to get a good edge. It's been used for all sorts of rough work, and had all manner of stuff such as tree resin, exopy and adhesive on the blade. A quick clean up and a resharpen and it's good to go again.

Looks a bit stabby, doesn't it...

A rambo or zk has more Precision

Great knives - you can shave the hairs off your arms straight out of the box. And being carbon steel it's easy to resharpen when it dulls. Does need some looking after, but at this price you could throw it away when it gets a bit rusty and buy another.
