I've got several of these big boys which I purchased after dropping a hard drive 2 feet and killing it stone dead. Luckily it was mostly a back up of a back up but I did lose loads of films. These are slow but so cheap you can afford to have multiple redundancies of cherished home movies, mp3 files and large download files of one type or another.

Good price but painfully slow for regurarly transferring big files, correct?

From what I remember from previous comments, yes, correct.
But slow or not, unbeatable at this price.

Is this compatible with Xbox Series S for playing older games and transferring current titles from and to, like a regular external?

Having a massive memory stick that's horribly slow is like having a huge bank account but you can only withdraw £1 a day. Unless you need this size then save yourself some annoyance watching a 3 hour file transfer and buy something half the size with triple the speed.

You will struggle to get an enclosure for £5 they usually go for around £15
