sorted byHigh quality SOFTWARE video encodes (the best) like more cores. And if you have a GPU, many video post processing effects are done on the GPU rather than the CPU. For basic 'normie' video work, any modern system is fine. For semi-pro, you better check tech sites discussing the needs of your video software applications of choice.
