Assuming you receive a 'Like New' as described, it's a good deal on the 512GB Model considering it's £1,400 direct from Apple.

"These phones look like new, with no visible scratches on the screen or body."

Will report on condition when mine arrives today. Some members reported receiving damaged / stolen phones, so I would highly recommend using a Credit Card to purchase to keep yourself protected, especially on a high value purchase like this.

Update 15:20 18/Mar - Arrived in a plain brown box with the phone and charging cable only. Both look brand new, not a single mark on it. No original box. The battery cycle shows as 1 and 100% capacity, so that's a good sign. Manufacture date is Oct 2023 and first use Dec 2023. Limited warranty from Apple until Dec 2024.

Will now thoroughly test to check for any issues and update this post.

Update 18:10 18/Mar - Haven't found a single issue yet, it appears to be brand new. Hopefully others have the same experience.

Just for reference here… family ordered 3 phones from these, iPhone 14 Pro Max and 2 x iPhone 15 pro max Like New….

1 x IMEI blacklisted (so stolen)
    1 x totally smashed screen
    1 x broken camera.

    All 3 back to them.

Had my Like New phone delivered today. Immaculate condition and 100% battery. But I can't seem to get a mobile network selected. Tried my 3 and Smarty SIM. They both work fine in my XS Max. Could it be a faulty phone?

    Check the IMEI isn't blacklisted.

Get your device’s IMEI number by dialing *#06#

    Then pop into swappa.com/imei

Just had the worst experience. Order a couple of weeks back. Had a scratch on it. Returned it back using the process they recommend. They received an empty packet apparantley, now won't refund me.

When I returned the phone I took it to the post office and they weighed it. The weight will be in your receipt as proof of postage from them. That is the evidence you need to prove the phone was in the package when you sent it back surely?!

Great deal, just looked at 1024gb for £99 more, may go for that. Does anyone know how long delivery usually is?
    navneet1311's avatar
They are quick usually. I've had ordered delivered within 2 days most of the time

Just set mine up. 100% battery health with 1 cycle used. Phone was first used in Nov 2023

Hi…. Can I check if my assumption is right…. I buy a £10 SIM for one month and then don’t renew it? Or am I obliged to keep a contract for longer? Are you obliged to pay £10 a month if you take the 24 month payment plan? (edited)
    yas247's avatar
Don’t get the 24 month if you intend to cancel choose the monthly rolling contract and from my understanding you don’t even need to activate it (obviously you can and you’ve already paid for one month)
  8. 0110craig's avatar
Don’t do it! I received a blacklisted phone
    zeb.mattey's avatar
achh too late. Ridiculous they don't check for blacklisting

Thanks OP. I placed order yesterday for white titanium 512 GB Pro Max like new. It’s been delivered this morning. 1 year Apple warranty, with no sign of any use and rather than 512 GB, I have been sent 1 TB. 0 cycle count on battery too.
  10. Android786's avatar
    Good price for 512gb
  11. zeb.mattey's avatar
Just snagged a 256gb for £765 after cashback, seems like quite the bargain. Let's hope it turns up in decent nick
    dann2000's avatar
    Which cashback site?
  12. zeb.mattey's avatar
Given the amount of people claiming blacklisted phones, I'd reccomend against purchasing like new. You'll have better luck with the 'good' used models as they are less likely to be scam phones.

Mine turned up today, mint condition, 100% battery capacity, 1 charge cycle. Haven't found any issues yet.
  13. Wolf39's avatar
Thanks OP! Ordered yesterday afternoon, arrived this lunchtime. Ordered the 512gb Like New, and it’s absolutely immaculate, with 0 previous charging cycles. Working perfectly & not blocked. (edited)

I took the plunge...Got the 1T 15 pro Max. Never been registered. FULL 1 year Apple warranty and I can upgrade to Apple care. 0 battery cycles. Result!
    dann2000's avatar
Was this 'like new' or 'excellent '?
  15. Arstar's avatar
I have also received a working phone. Zero cycle count (battery), 61 days to add Apple Care+ coverage. Full one year warranty. So I'm relieved, after reading of other peoples experience.

    Edit: 1TB version (edited)
    dann2000's avatar
I had exactly the same. Zero cycle, manufactured in November, registered in March 2024. Now 60 days to add Apple care+.
    Very happy
  16. abdul5's avatar
Will it come in orginal box with accessories?
    Lukashov's avatar
When my wife ordered 13pro year ago - it comes in spare box without any accessories
  17. Geoggy's avatar
Is this the price though? Says you have to buy a minimum £10 plan
    snoopygreen's avatar
SIM comes with it, just dont activate it.
  18. Zmh786's avatar
    Are the phones unlocked ?
    steve_dom's avatar
All phones are unlocked these days
  19. robinson-constantin.chera's avatar
,,giffgaff newbie? You’ll need to buy a £10 plan (or more) to go with your shiny new phone." Also, UK only, no international shipping

You don't need to activate it at all. Can buy it and just cancel it without activating. But make sure you select monthly rolling. (edited)
  20. prosper's avatar
Would just like to clarify - ordered a SIM - I just don't activate it and can use the phone I've ordered?
    yas247's avatar
Yes but make sure you select monthly rolling sim
  21. ana7mody's avatar
Based on my rough calculations, monthly contracts appear to be the more sensible choice here. A new phone (zero risk of blacklisting), and an overall cost that's nearly identical (even with CPI) when factoring in buying a PAG SIM separately. The only drawback is being tied to the provider for 2 years.
    codebee's avatar
    Author
What monthly contract are you using for that example? Be curious to see.
  22. rambo_or_mark's avatar
Will be worth £500 next year
    zeb.mattey's avatar
the 14 pro max 256 is £600 on the same store, I think 679 for the 512gb. This model will likely age better due to USB-C, so expect more like 700.
  23. yas247's avatar
Received mine totally brand new apple care till 17th March 25 but and a big but it’s blocked WTF!
    one expensive brick  (edited)
    Popeye_the_Sailor's avatar
Sorry to hear. Same as me although you got lucky with getting brand new. Let us know how you get in with getting support from them or are you just going to return it?
  24. foo.bar's avatar
If it's too good to be true then it's usually is. I am staying away from any refurbished phones from any vendor.
  25. lehaandreev's avatar
Does it take better pics than a modern mirrorless full frame camera?
    zeb.mattey's avatar
Nowhere near. A Panasonic G7 for £250 will absolutely destroy this phone for stills and video. Don't listen to Max Tech Apple shills, just look at shots, its obvious.
  26. ultrayesyes's avatar
Got mine this morning. Apple Care until December. 100% battery health. 54 cycles. No imperfections. Not blacklisted. 26.25 tracked via quidco, 899 for an 'Excellent' 256GB. I'm pleased.
  27. h2k92's avatar
Good so far, no blacklist. Allowed me to activate warranty, 0 cycles. Assuming brand new (came in brown box).
  28. Sharjeel_A.'s avatar
Just bought this and was delivered today. Bought the like new 512gb. Didn’t come in original Apple box but came with a new charging cable. The phone had 16 charge cycles. And no, no Apple care available to buy but I heard of you take it to an Apple Store, they can sell you Apple care
  29. zeb.mattey's avatar
Good condition arrived, for £765 its great. 100% battery health, Apple Care + (theft and loss) until 25th March 2024, lets see if the seller fogets and it auto renews lol

Not blacklisted. The 15 pro max is way nicer than the 13 pro max, much lighter and easier to hold.
  30. abdullah.m's avatar
Does anyone else face this issue? I was at home and the delivery never came. I called them hoping they will give lame excuse that I was not available at home but instead they mentioned seller(giffgaff) asked courier to send it back to them..

I had this happened to me a year ago. Delivery driver was literally 10 minutes away from my address, when I received a notification that both phones I bought were returning to Giffgaff. And they never gave an explanation why that happened
  31. toktik's avatar
You are lucky if you get this deal! I paid the same amount 1 month ago for a 256GB from cheapestelectrical. Now I have to live with 256GB for 2 years...knowing I could have had 512GB which suits my use better.
  32. Kenady's avatar
Went for a Very Good condition.

Externally phone is pristine, battery 99% 120 charge cycles, Apple Care to Sept 2024
  33. memolii's avatar
Ordered one and Quidco tracked 52.5 cashback
  34. toktik's avatar
You guys make me want to return my 256GB and buy this instead.
Would you go through this hassle? Paid £1000 for my new open box 15 PM 256GB... (edited)
    Arstar's avatar
Depends on if you want the gamble of receiving a blacklisted handset, returning it only for it to stolen in transit.
  35. dann2000's avatar
I've taken the plunge, worth the risk IMO. Let's hope I'm this positive this time tomorrow.

    Great price for 1TB version

    giffgaff refurbished peace of mind:

    • 24-month warranty
    • A more sustainable option
    • 30-point phone health check
    • 80% battery health, or better

Should I go for Giffgaff refurbished 15 pro 512gb £999 or brand new 256gb model from the EE store with the 10% discount code for £945.
Also Has anyone bought a used EE phone before on there used stock option?

My refurbished is actually brand new, had 0 cycles the 1 is mine today and the limited warranty had a full year on it. Take the punt, if you don’t like it can always return 😬

Do these refurbished iPhones from GiffGaff have the amended serial number to identify it as a refurbished phone?
