Confirmed Hynix A die, took heat spreaders off and chips are same as the top end stuff.

great stuff, i've just received mine. i'm on AMD so cant overclock alot but this gets me lower timings at lower voltages compared to m-die kit i've had. that is weird as everyone on redditt say that m-die takes lower timings than a-die - apparently not true. very happy with this new kit.

p.s haha using an oled as monitor ? same as me. (edited)

Kingston solely user Hynix modules which are higher quality than Samsung or Micron modules, for DDR5 at least.

A-die is rarer(?) though as it can reach much higher frequencies, 8000 vs 7000-7200 for the M-die, and is lighter on the memory controller.

A-die only makes sense if you have an Intel CPU with Z690/Z790 motherboard as AMD AM5 tends to top out at 6000 stable, can go a bit higher but it's a lottery, hence M-dies make more sense with AM5 as it has tighter timings which has a bigger impact on AM5. (edited)

why wouldnt this be an m-die ? remember some of 5600 cl40 kingston dimms were random m-die or a-die (edited)

Because it's cl36, cl40 rated is always m-die at this speed.

Check the memory qvl charts, only entry for this code is a-die

Cheapest A-die around by a good margin and good for 6400+ at cl34

If I'm just going to plug it in and not worry about overclocking what should I be looking for? All these memory deals are frying my brain!

Finally we're getting Hynix DDR5 at close to DDR4 prices. First one I've seen that is <£100/32GB

A bit overkill for me though, i wish half the capacity was available for half the price

Now what is a-die and m-die first time I'm hearing these, is this better than 6400 cl32?

Same, I never heard of this whatever-die

I purchased the 6000 kit a few weeks back, no problems with my AMD and Intel setup.
