It's alright. With the kit I bought for my dad's PC, it's happy enough to run with a small overclock, which makes it better than Corsair, but not as good as my Crucial. If you just want something that works, that performs reasonably well, and that's cheap, this is a solid option, and I'd recommend it.

Normal price now. Just as 16MB RAM was all the rage 30 years ago on 486 computers, technology keeps on moving so 16GB should be this price in 2023 and one day it will be worthless. 16GB is slowly being superseded as minimum RAM spec as we move towards 2024 then 32GB will be a common minimum.

In short the ever increasing requirement for larger RAM means that usual amounts of RAM get cheaper and cheaper until they have no purpose anymore in the modern world. (edited)

Now memory is so cheap, do yourself a favour, and get 2 x 16 GB as a MINIMUM. 2x32 means you can run some of those pesky games from a RAM-disc, or never worry about tabs on your browsers again.

2x8 is dangerously close to eWaste, since using 4 sticks in a PC (a later 'upgrade') is always a BAD idea.

honestly curious to hear why this is. I have 4x8 right now in my pc...
