The trick with this rice is to soak the amount you want to cook in water for a good 4 to 5 hours, it will then require a lot less cooking time.

Not correct...we Asian just wash the rice, boil twice the amount of water in the kettle then cook with rice cooker...boom..excellent texture rice ready in 20min

It’s weird how every single time a deal for rice is listed, you get a comment right away saying it’s great and another saying it’s terrible, it’s really difficult to work out what’s actually worth buying.

Having said that, I bought a 5kg bag of this a couple of weeks ago and it tastes great to me. I previously used the Tesco own brand basmati and I thought that tasted nice too, so perhaps I just really like rice.

We love 'fresh rice' (what I call this sort of rice, having previously known only microwave packs) - generally only buy when on offer - used to look for £1/kg - I think that ship has sailed.

I actually came in this thread to see what the feedback is - usually turns into a "no buy this instead - I wouldn't buy that muck - I know my rice - clearly you don't!" cabaret!

As difficult as working out which antivirus is good (that is another guaranteed pantomime on here)!
