    VA avoid

    I love IPS snobs.

VA monitors are WAY better than they used to be. High end models like the Odyssey G7 is one of the best monitors you can buy, and even lower-mid range models like the G2722DGM are rated excellent across the board.

All monitors have their ups and downs. IPS have great colour and response times, but uniformly terrible contrast (black's look grey) and often suffer from an unpleasant glowing effect.

VA models have excellent contrast and vibrant colour, but can suffer from limited viewing angles and ghosting at high refresh rates, although overdrive modes often counteract this to the extent that the vast majority of players will never notice (most have been playing games on VA panel TVs for decades).

TN panels are the one that should probably be avoided at all costs - they are sometimes cheaper than other panel types, but don't offer any meaningful advantage over a budget IPS.

This is a great price for the spec. Don't discount it because some people are still living in 2015

Good specs but it's and LCD. I'd avoid if you want good crispy picture quality

Do you mean to say that it's a VA panel? Most monitors are LCD nowadays, so I assume you're comparing VA with IPS and the like. Or OLED vs LCD? (edited)

Weird that the 30 model is VA when the 20 model was IPS...
