Nice deal. How does it compare to the "MSI Katana B12V" for £1,200. The MSI has a 4070 and i7 12650H.
Is it worth the extra £200?

Also, is it worth getting it now or waiting until the bank holiday?

MSI Katana is a budget line-up where they put new and high-end components in a nasty plastic chassis then throttle them back (because the thermals aren't up to it) to sell systems on name alone. The components are good but would perform faster in a better chassis with good thermal management, though it will likely be faster than the Legion, the Legion is better quality/build and a bit cheaper.

Just spent ages shopping around before buying a new laptop. Went with an Asus Tuf A15. Ryzen 9 and RTX4070 for 1200. No idea if its a better deal. Just decided higher numbers meant good.

RTX 4070 is a nice boost but the chassis is not as good as this. So not a bad deal, not mind-blowing but will probably be an excellent gaming choice for you and doubt you’ll regret it - newer components should mean better longevity too.

The laptop itself is great by all accounts, but just pray that you don't ever need Lenovo customer service or their repair centre. They're absolutely shocking and have put me off ever buying another Lenovo product.

It can't be worse than ASUS or MSI who seem to lack proper UK support and demand original owner info. I've used Lenovo service on business systems before (not consumer) and they were up there with HP, out the next day with repairs completed on-site - obviously not the same for mail-in consumer warranty but they are certainly not bad.
